The ONCE created the ONCE Foundation in 1988 to ensure the social inclusion of people with disabilities. There are currently over four million people with disabilities in our country. The ONCE Foundation centers its efforts around two goals:
- Labor integration through training and job programs.
- Universal accessibility, a concept that spans the possibility of learning about, enjoying and using venues, products and services, as well as “design for all”.
Over its twenty-plus years of existence, the ONCE Foundation has become a national and international benchmark in the struggle to place disabled persons on an equal footing with their fellow citizens.
